Denise DeSimone
Before Denise’s life took a different trajectory as a result of her cancer, she had a storied and very successful past as a sales and marketing executive for many companies, in many different capacities. Denise is also certified in multiple alternative healing modalities.
Denise’s purpose in life is to ENJOY.Her mission: Compassionately spread joy and encourage laughter. Her vision: All sentient beings know the peace and power of self-love.
I could not put this book down. From page one to the end of the story telling. Most importantly the message of the story grabbed me! Denise writes with such openness and honesty about embracing her illness that you feel as if you are on the journey with her. From the ride to raise money for children’s cancer research, through the diagnosis and treatments, to her moment singing at Fenway Park, you are compelled to turn each and every page. You do not need to be battling cancer yourself to bear witness to what she goes through. You do no need to be religious to be spiritually moved by her journey. You simply need to be open to the journey
this book takes you on. This book is a must read and a must gift to those you know and love who could use some inspiration.
This was a great book that depicted in vivid detail the author's road in embracing a very deadly disease and all the challenges she went through to come to where she is today. It was hard to put this book down and I finished it in a very short time. I almost did not want it to end because it was so well written and such a comprehensive story of Denise's life from 2005 on with glimpses back in her earlier life. The profound lessons she learned, the gracious angels that came into her life and her very visceral descriptions of events made this a wonderful book to read. The blending of traditional medicine and alternative techniques that she chose to embrace appeals to those who accept both modes of care. It is a story of faith and courage, perseverance and triumph. This is a wonderful resource for anyone facing a challenge or who has a friend or family member facing one. I will pass this on to my friends and family to read too!
